To make the most important day in your life unforgettable, the chapel will be decorated according to your wishes and needs. Our wedding coordinator is responsible for the wedding ceremony, transportation and wedding extras. The coordinator assures that all on-site arrangements are flawless and that the wedding schedule runs smoothly. If you are coming to the venue with the two of you only, we can arrange witnesses.

Price: 650 €

Price includes all necessary paperwork with Lapland’s magistrate, magistrate’s fees, rent for the chapel, preparations and wedding coordinator’s services in Lainio Snow Village.

Note: Magistrate have to receive the necessary paperwork and documents no later than four weeks before the wedding.

Ice chapel

Temperature in the ice chapel is always between -2 and -5 Celsius degrees. As elsewhere in SnowVillage, also in the chapel it might a bit slippery every now and then. Therefore, when ever possible, it is good to wear proper winter clothing and winter boots. Ice chapel changes its shape and interior decoration every year, but is big enough for app. 60 guests. Chapel is decorated with reindeer skin and candles. You can also order flower arrangement to decorate the altar table. If you wish to play music from a CD when you enter the chapel, please let us know in advance so we can set the player.

Wooden chapel

Chapel of St. John has served wedding couples since 2000. Each log has been gathered around Finland and brought to Lainio to create this beautiful and cosy wilderness chapel. Oldest logs are from 1914. Inside the chapel there are seats for app. 20 guests. For the ceremony we set fire on the fireplace and decorate the chapel with candles. Temperature is normally around +18 Celsius degrees. It is possible to play music when you enter the chapel, but please inform us about this in advance.
